Have you ever hired a personal fitness trainer? Think back -- what made you decide to pay someone to make you...let's be real here...hurt?
Was it because you felt like you couldn't achieve the results you needed on your own?
Was it because you needed an extra push for motivation? Or some professional guidance on how to reach the goals you wanted to achieve?
Well, coaching is a lot like training. A coach, much like a trainer, works with you to set personal goals for your life, and then meets with you regularly to keep you focused and on track. But while a trainer works on the outer you, a coach focuses on both -- the outer things that you want to accomplish like your goals and objectives, and the inner things that might be stopping you from success -- fears, limiting beliefs, and worries about yourself or others.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Therapy is a wonderful service that focuses on healing past hurts, and taking someone who is dysfunctional or struggling in one area to fully functional. Coaching starts with the belief that everyone is whole and functional, and focuses on looking forwards to the future -- where anything is possible. Thus coaching focuses on the here and now, and going from good to great with success in the future, while therapy focuses on the past, and fixing past problems to help get you to a good present.
Why choose me?
Coaching success is firmly based on the relationship you have with your coach. We are a true partnership, so before choosing any coach you should talk with them and make sure that you feel comfortable. I love what I do, and I want to help you succeed -- but choose me only if you feel comfortable having me as your partner. Want to know more about me? Click here!
